to all my married friends and your married friends.....

is it just me? or is marriage hard? It seems that right when we get a leg up...something big hits us upside the head and knocks us 3 steps back. Communication seems impossible at times, there aren't enough hours in the day...and I don't even have kids yet!

but seriously- does anyone else fight? if you do, you do a great job of hiding it...I never see it! I don't understand what changes when you get married? I mean, we didn't fight like this when we were dating....and now, all of a sudden...we can't find anything that we can just talk about...or agree on...EVERYTHING is a fight.

to eliminate any additional venting, I will simply ask for your advice- what do you do to avoid fights...how do you get through them and not feel beaten and bloodied...how do you recover from them...how do you choose not to have them...HELP!!!

don't get me wrong..I love my husband, I really do...that's probably why I hate fighting so much...it's hard to fight so much with someone you love so much....

need your advice ladies.

Been there, doing that. Fighting has been our life. I'm realizing that I've been in control, and the Lord is showing me some stuff about the control issues in my life. Also, communication is really hard for us too, so I'm with you there. Not sure what we are doing about it, but we are starting to let God be in control, and going through a devotional together, which helps us communicate. I've been thinking about you. I've noticed lately some stuff, and I'm right there with ya, sista... we can learn this stuff together.
Praying for you,
Jennifer Peat

got the t-shirt! lol
We've been married over five years and fight...the thing that's changed the most is that now in the midst of the fight I am truly confident that the fight will not ruin us. Something deep inside me (produced from experience) knows that we will come out stronger when all is said and done.
Press on!

Autumn and JP...

you are both lovely. thank you. I appreciate your advice, but moreover, I appreciate your honesty- it's comforting to know that I'm not the only one in this. JP, you are a great gal to have around here...Autumn, feels like we'd be great friends if we lived in the same city. I so enjoy reading about your life...I appreciate your from afar. :)

thank you both.
