it's like the first day of school
For the last year and a half I have been working part time at our church. I've worked 2 other part time jobs in that time to try to get a full 40 each week....while hoping and praying that I would gain full time hours at the church. Well it was approved this summer for my status to be moved to full time and today was my first day on my new schedule. I had been working 4 days a week, with Mondays off and I must say, I've grown rather accustom to that 3 day weekend. So I chose to work 4, 10-hour days to keep those Mondays open. Well today I started bright and early at 8am which I quickly found is much different than 9am. If you don't believe me, try it. And instead of closing up shop at 2pm, I'll be here, daily 'til 6pm. So, here I sit, with about 3 hours to go...a big groggy, and rather drained. That damn Jay Leno, keeping me up with his lame monologue. Maybe I'll be well rested tomorrow.
so anyway...it was a good, long, productive day....day 1.
